The following classroom policies apply to this course:

Lesson Objectives
each lesson will have a set of learning objectives; these objectives define what you are expected to learn from the lesson

Attendance
attendance will be taken at all class sessions; this practice lets me know who shows up for class as well as allows me to put names with faces; attendance and participation will make up 5% of the final grade

Class Participation
all students are expected to contribute orally to the class; questions will be asked during the course of a lesson and in-class activities will be routine part of the courses; attendance and participation will make up 5% of the final grade

Questions
if questions or clarifications arise about lesson material during class, please ask about them; there is no such thing as a dumb question; our goal is to learn and we learn by asking questions

Late Assignments
assignments received more than 1 class period after the due date will lose points for lateness; assignments will not be accepted more than 3 class periods after the due date except in unusual circumstances, as judged by the instructor
